In high school, I built an RFID-controlled door model as my final project. I combined a cardboard prototype, a Freenove microcontroller, and jumper wires to demonstrate a simple access control system.
Challenge
The most difficult part of the project was the wiring. I had never used a breadboard before, so it took several days to learn how to assemble the circuit and get everything working correctly. The coding itself was straightforward because I already had scripting experience, but the hardware setup was far more demanding.
Solution
A classmate in my engineering class helped me understand the basic breadboard concepts, which made the wiring process much clearer. I also researched my Freenove model online and watched tutorials on YouTube until I understood how to configure it properly. In the end, I was able to make the system work and present it successfully to my class.
